The next meeting of the Linux Users of Victoria will be held on
Wednesday the 6th of November (to avoid Cup day on Tuesday).
This Month we have
Beginners Talk
"Find is your friend. Learn to love it!" By Alec Clews
For novice UNIX users the find command is counter intuitive. However
it's power and usefulness repay the effort of learning it many times
over.This talk will cover:
Basic find use and syntax
Using other commands with -exec
Using other commands with xargs utility
How to avoid the shell interfering with find option
How to group options using ( ) and -o
How to use the -mtime option

"KDE internals" By Daniel Stone
(talk done at short notice , so you'll have to turn up to find out :-) )
There will also be a status report on the installfest.
