Lev Lafayette will give an introduction to multicore computing, a recent conference on the subject in New Zealand, and the future of multicore Linux.
Lev works at the Victorian Partnership for Advanced Computing and is the current President of Linux Users of Victoria. http://levlafayette.com
Les Kitchen will present on what Linux was like in the early days - from the initial call in comp.os.minix, through to the adoption of GNU software tools, the first distributions and - eventually! - GUI interfaces.
