When instructing students on the subject of main frame computing, rather
than purchase a set
of X-terminals and a full blown unix box, the students throw a floppy
disk into their
workstations and log in to a linux box.
The system that the students use is at

they gain the benifit of using a terminal for sending and recieving
The systems are booted slightly diferently than the netboot meathod
I have shown here.
They create a boot floppy disk with the kernel on the floppy but then
use bootp to mount
the nsf directory when starting the init process etc.
